  • About the Author
  • Haiti accomplished many great things, and even succeeded in their goal of gaining control of their rights and government! Through many years of hard work and battling, they gained their independence and became their own "person". Now it is important to prosper and be you, but you also got to make sure that you don't get lost during the long journey. I say this because...is Haiti really holding to now what they wanted to achieve? I would honestly say no (yes awkward I know!) because Haiti is now one of the poorest countries, and even later kicked out their president! (geez...that guy must have cried all the way home like the three little piggy's) With no true control or leadership, Haiti once again broke out in violence and hectic living styles. Although they might hold control over their own lives and are full of beautiful nature and culture, they did not execute the control and glory that they had planned. But, use this as guidance in your own life because it is important to make sure that you strive for every one of your dreams and reach for the stars, but make sure that you don't get stranded or sink like the Titanic (yep...I just went there!)
  • Here are my lovely resources!!! (yes, I did NOT make this all up...geez judgy much???..just kidding :)
  • Emma Hutchison(2006 - still alive and heart is working good!)A close observer of the Haitian Revolution, Emma Hutchison filled her very first book with both jokes, facts, and questions to relate this to children's lives today. She is currently enrolled in Joel E. Ferris Highschool and studying every subject necessary to graduate. She plays both soccer and volleyball during her free time, but also enjoys reading and watching movies with her family!!!
