- Shaun was excited to start his first day of school, the teacher asked everyone to bring in something to share that they enjoyed playing with, Shaun chose his toy spaceship

- Hey1 that is pretty cool, what is it and why did you choose to bring it to class
- Thanks! I got it in Puerto Rico where I am from. It is called a rainstick, and when you flip it over it sounds like it is raining, do you want to try?
- Gabe recently moved from Puerto Rico, so he brought a rainstick. This was important to Gabe since it is a big part of his culture, its a symbol of the area where he is from, which is not well known around here.
- First Day of School
- Shaun saw the rainstick and was confused and thought it was weird. He did not understand why he wouldn't bring in a basketball or baseball like everyone else? So Shaun did the right thing and went up to Gabe and asked him what it does and why it meant so much to him.
- Shaun tried it out and thought it was really cool! he then let Gabe play with his spaceship until it was time for the class to all share their items
- Shaun was happy that he asked why it was important to Gabe. He handled the situation correctly and learned about new culture. He also made a new friend in the process! The End!
