- One rainy day, Richard was looking out the window. Richard said," I want a new bike."
- He set up a table and chair outside. He sold hot chocolate to his neighbors and friends.
- His mother recommended that Richard sell hot chocolate to raise money for the new bike. Richard and his mother went to the store.
- Richard was having fun selling hot chocolate. He had almost saved up enough money for his new bike.
- Richard bought chocolate, cups, and marshmallows. Richard worked very hard on making his stand.

- They started making fun of Richard and his stand. "Please," said Richard, "just go home."

- The bullies laughed at him. They threw his cups,marshmallows, and money on the ground.

- Just then, bullies from his school came down the street. Richard thought, "I hope they aren't going cause trouble."
- His mother met him at the door. "What's wrong Richard?" said Richard's mom.

- "The bullies wrecked my stand," said Richard. He shook his head, "I don't think they will ever leave."

- Richard's mom hugged him. "I'm sorry they are treating you this way; let's do something nice for them."
- Richard began to cry. He ran inside his house.
- Richard gave the bullies the cups of hot chocolate. They felt bad because Richard was being nice and they knew they had hurt him.
- Richard forgave them. His new friends helped him raise enough money for his new bike and then they rode their bikes together.
- Richard didn't want to forgive them. "Why should I be nice to the people who are mean to me?" he said.
- Richard and his mom made more hot chocolate in the kitchen. He brought the hot chocolate outside.
- They helped him clean up his stand. " We're really sorry for wrecking your stand and for hurting your feelings," they said.
