- Rachel Robinson is in grade 7 and is very smart,her room is always organized and she has tons of books in her room.Her two best friends are Alison and Stephanie. She has a older sister named Jessica, a trouble making brother named Charles and a mom and dad.

- Rachel goes to the same school that her dad teaches at. All the teachers want her in advanced classes because she is so smart, but Rachel is getting overwhelmed by all of it. She stays up late at night stressing about her day.

- Rachel's family is having supper when the phone rings, it was Charles boarding school saying he got kicked out and has to come back home. The whole family is feeling lots of stress right now because he causes a lot of problems.

- Rachel went back to her room because she is feeling very worried about her brother coming back home so is the rest of the family. Rachel tries to calm herself down by talking to her friends at school the next day but they do not understand they just want to meet him.
- When Rachel gets home Charles is already there waiting for her. Rachel said hello and asked him how school was going, he said it was alright.During supper he already caused trouble by calling his sister Jessica pizza face. She stared to cry because she is sensitive about her acne.
- Her mom is not a lawyer anymore she is now a judge. The family is bring supportive except for Charles he dose not eat with the family anymore. At school Rachel keeps telling her friends about what has been going on but none of them seem to think it is a big deal. Her parents also can not focus at work.

- It was the dad's birthday so the kids had to decorate the house because their mom was going to be running late but Charles did not help, he did not even buy his dad a present for his birthday.
- Summer is only a few days away and the family has gotten Charles a tutor. Rachel went on a field trip with her dads class to Ellis islands. Rachel has loosened up some and Charles is starting to get a bit better with the family he has a job at the bakery and Rachel is going to go to a music camp over the summer.
