  • I learned that if I know what really happens in the text, I can really connect to it on a personal level. I learned that I am able to create connections with the text, even if they have nothing in common. I think that Harknesses help me learn how to connect many different topics and it helps me learn how to think about books and text’s different perspectives. I learned that I am much more capable of making connections to text than I think that I am. I believe that I can get better at this more throughout my life. I learned that this genre gives me facts as information. I can use these facts to uncover answers to questions that I have for the Unit. This genre is important because it gives us more information to create charts on. Instead of finding information in novels, we already receive the information in the text. The Non-Fiction book taught me how to find information easier. It showed me where I can always find information and how to transform it into notes. This will be very important in the future when I am taking notes for other books for other classes.
  • What are some symbols for all of my central ideas and social issues? Can Ms. Czerenda, Haylee, Leor, and Mikayla show those examples?
