- Man Vs Man
- "He threw himself on me like a wild beast, beating me inthe chest" (Wiesel 53)
- Man Vs Self
- "Infact, I thought of stealing away in order not to suffer the blows.What's more, if I felt anger at that moment, it was not directed at theKapo but at my father. Why couldn't he have avoided Idek's wrath?" (Wiesel 54)
- Man Vs god
- "I have more faith in Hitler than in anyone else. He alone haskept his promises, all his promises, to the Jewish people."(Wiesel 81)
- Idek was attacking Elie because he was having a bad day and Elie was closest. This showed conflict between Elie and Idek.
- Man Vs Nature
- Idek was attacking Elies Father but Elie was not mad at the Kapo but his dad. This conflict is how Elie was wondering how the camp had changed him.
- Man Vs Society
- "TWO GHETTOS were created in Sighet. A large one in the center oftown occupied four streets, and another smaller one extendedover several alleyways on the outskirts of town."(Wiesel 11)
- He was talking about how their god was doing nothing but Hitler was keeping his promises to the Jews.
- "Near me, men were collapsing into the dirty snow." (Wiesel 86)
- People were dying to the cold all around him. The wether was at least making the slow down witch accomplished the same thing.
- Elie and the other Jews were cast into the ghettos by society.
