Storyboard Text

  • As Junior's lifecycle is about to be finished, our star will then experience a phenomenon called a planetary nebula, where Junior's outer layer is scattered and dispersed as a result of his expansion.
  • Senior's lifecycle is about to be finished too, the difference is that instead of having a planetary nebula, Senior will create a luminous explosion that is called a supernova. This is the result of low pressure in a massive star where gravity will take over and seconds after that it will produce a magnificent explosion.
  • After transforming into a planetary nebula, Junior's core and remnants will still be strong enough that it will be called a white dwarf, about the size of a planet. This new phase will just be only the shadow of our star's former self and will produce less light, energy, and luminosity.
  • Now moving on, unlike Junior who still had a new opportunity to at least be in the shadow of our star's former phase, Senior will be experiencing a whole new phenomenon and will now be called a black hole. This is the result of Senior's supernova where a black hole can make deep gravity sink and prevent light from escaping.
  • After millions and billions of years, both the remnants of Junior and Senior will be used as material for new stars to be created into our universe.
  • Thank you for listening class! And don't forget your assignments!
