- Right now we are on the streets of Boston, home of my two alma maters. I have 3 degrees from MIT and an MBA from Harvard. Let's go to my headquarters in California!
- Hey kids! My name is Sal Khan, I am the founder and CEO of Khan Academy. I have a birthday coming up, as I will be turning 46 on October 11th!
- Hop in! It's not that far when you're flying!
- Welcome to sunny Mountain View, California! Here is my secretary, Janice, she will take over the tour from here. Thank you for letting me spend some time with you today.
- Hi guys! I'm going to take you on a tour of our headquarters. Mr. Khan is very humble, so he didn't tell you all of his accomplishments, but that's what I'm here for!
- Welcome to Khan Academy headquarters. This is where the magic happens. It's hard to believe that all of this came from Mr. Khan's dream while at MIT.
- Mr. Khan is famous for his many contributions to education. He is most known for Khan Academy, a free online nonprofit educational platform. Since its creation, we have produced over 6,500 video lessons on a variety of academic subjects to help any student anywhere have access to a good education.
- His work may impact future legislation, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, as it displays that students can learn and complete their schoolwork on an online platform. If this was proven to be a viable option, many school districts may elect to move to a hybrid or completely online format in hopes of cutting costs.
