The next day, Romeo visits Friar Lawrence to ask him to marry them in secret. Tybalt, Juliet's cousin, looks for Romeo in the streets to challenge him. Not knowing that Romeo is now his kinsman, he insults him. The Prince of Verona banishes Romeo from the city for killing Tybalt.

At the Capulet feast, Romeo enters in disguise with Benvolio and Mercutio. There, he sees Juliet for the first time and is captivated by her beauty. They kiss. Shortly after, Juliet discovers that Romeo is a Montague, her enemy.
Take this potion. It will make you appear dead for 42 hours. When you wake, Romeo will find you, and you will flee together.
If there is no solution, I prefer death. I cannot marry another.
The Prince of Verona banishes Romeo from the city for killing Tybalt. Juliet takes the potion and is found apparently dead. The Capulet family mourns her loss, believing she has passed away.

Romeo, entranced by Juliet, hides in the Capulet garden after the feast. From her balcony, Juliet speaks to herself, unaware that Romeo is listening.
This hatred has caused the tragedy of your children. Let this be a lesson. No more enmity. Let us bury our differences along with them.
Romeo arrives at Juliet's tomb. There he finds Paris, who is also mourning Juliet’s death. They fight, and Romeo kills Paris. Then, he enters the tomb and, upon seeing Juliet, drinks the poison. The Montague and Capulet families arrive at the tomb and see their children dead. The Prince condemns their hatred.
