- I have a letter for you form the pope of the Catholic Churh.

- Martin Luther thought that selling indulgences was wrong and that the church was just doing it so they could get money. The Reformation started when Martin Luther chalenged the authority of the church with the 95 Theses.
- Scene 4
- I will not say my ideas are worng!!!
- Martin Luther is nailing the 95 Theses to the door of the Catholic CHurch. When he did this it led to the start of the Reformation. In the 95 Theses he questioned the Catholic Church and basiclly gave 95 reasons why the church was wrong.

- You must take back what you said about the church!!
- You are an enemy of the state!! I am banning all of your writings!
- Martin Luther got a letter from the Pope of the Catholic church telling him to take back what he said about the church but he didn't.

- Martin Luther didn't say he was wrong and burnt the letter that the Pope gave him by throwing it into the fire.
- Martin Luther had to go to the Diet of Worms on April 17, 1521 and Charles V told him to say his ideas were wrong and then Martin Luther would be free but Martin Luther said that he would only say his ideas were wrong if they could prove it in the bible. Charles V claimed Luther to be an enemy of the state and banned all of his writings.

- The Reformation led to many new things like improved training and education for some Roman Catholic priests, the end of the sale of indulgences and church services in the local language rather than Latin.
