- in the beginning of the production the whole glibly family are celebrating the engagement of their daughter with her well respected fiancé, over their dinner conversations we learn a lot about each family members personality and their views

- when having their dinner, a mesterious inspector called ghoul comes round to announce that a girl (eva smith) died (suicide) at the factory the dad/ factory owner owns, we learn from the inspector that the dad fired the girl because she wanted a raise in her job and was protesting, then we learn that the girl moved into working at a store, the daughter got jelous of the girl and complained to the store so they fired her, then the fiancé announced that she met the girl, had an affair with her making his fiance angry and therefore refused his proposal to marry, then we also learn that the son of the gbstons also had affairs with the girl and stole money from the dad to help her financially, the girl ( eva smith) then refused the money after realising the money was stolen, then eva smith pregnant went to the mothers help council to get support, the girl then offended the mother so the mother did not give support to the girl not realising she was pregnant with her sons baby.

- the family shocked by all of their actions, then realise that the inspector was not with the police and no girl died that evening, the perents and the fiance relieved they began to act like nothing happened as there was not to be any concequences or scandels about their names as thats all they cared about, while the son and the daugheter were deeply disturbed by all of their actions , showing which cherachters were really good hearted and which ones wernt as they were the only ones concious on how the inspecter just wanted them to become better people and learn from their mistakes as it shows how the dad, mother and fience are blind to their bad actions but just their public image. finally they get a call to a news saying a girl just commited suicide at the factory .
