Rich Roman: “Our food did not even compare to yours and here's why, we had private kitchens and the slaves of ours would take care of making the food and our entertainment. We had many of the foods that the poor ate due to the food in Rome being relatively similar. We would have special appetizers including mice cooked with honey, snails in milk, stuffed parrots and salted jellyfish.”Poor Roman: “My daily meal would have been beans or porridge in the morning, a small bit of cheese or bread in the afternoon. And chunks of fish asparagus and figs for dessert.”
Rich Roman: Our education made our children superior to yours and here's why, Our children actually would have stayed in school until they were sixteen. classes were held in public buildings with the kids stopping at the breakfast bars to eat something. Many of the teachers and tutors were greek slaves brought from greece to teach the kids.”Poor Roman: “We mostly are sent off to military school or sent off to be a part of the army. “
Rich Roman: “Our family had the nicest time compared to yours and here why, Our husbands in the family held high political points and jobs in rome. The women ran our households and taught the children everything they knew about home life. The men and women became adults from 12-18 and they went on their own. The husbands in the family had a say in everything and their grown children had to follow them as adults.”Poor Roman: “My mom and dad had to work really hard. They where slaves. We didn’t have a lot of room in our houses so it was cramped.”
