The Etruscan Influence of Sports on the Romans
A princess gave birth to twin sons, Romulus and Remus. Their father was a man named Mars the Roman God of war. The princesses uncle which was the king at the time ordered that the twins would be drowned in the Tiber River, so they wouldn't become king. Before the twins drowned a she-wolf had saved them. The she-wolf raised the twins as her own. The twins ended up starting the city of Rome by the Tiber River where the wolf had helped them so much.
The Greek Influence of Architecture on the Romans
They learned how to build from the many techeniques they used and the science of building. The arches rested on two pillars which had a half circle of wedge shaped stones. A stone in the center helped keep the other stones together.
The Greek Influence of Writing, Art, and Religion on the Romans
The Romans adopted many of Eturscans sporting events like, slave fighting, an chariot races. In the chariot races the drivers could be thrown off and dragged under the chariot's wheels or in other cases trampled by other horses. These competitions often ended with somone dead or very injured.
The Romans adopted ideas like the temples the Greeks built which was made out of marble and had columns to keep up the buildings. The Colosseum is very much influenced by the Greeks it was the original design for the Greek theaters.
The Greeks made a great impact on Roman art, writing and religion in Rome. In art the Romans had imitated the Greek art and added a little bit of their own stye to their art. Their writing is amlost like the first Greek alphabet but change a little bit it had been changed through te Ertuscans and then went to the Romans and was changed a little there too. The religion in Greece is very much like the Greeks teh Roman shad their own rituals and gods the Roman stold stories that were like teh Greeks.
