- Max and Kevin meet in kindergarten. Kevin was the really weird kid who acted like aa robot all the time, and had two knee braces and both legs. So the kids there called him a "Freak" but that eventually became his nickname. Max was the kid who punched, kciked, and bites, people. He also got a learning disability. But his nickname was "The Kicker". Then Kevin moved away and Max didn't see him for a while.

- Max and Kevin have two different conflicts. Max has a learning disability, and Kevin has two knee braces on both legs. On the day of 4th of July Kevin and Max went to go see the fireworks near the pond. Then out of no where Tony.D and his gang stopped them and Tony.D started bulling Kevin. So then he starts throwing rocks at him. Max knew he was going to get violent and grabbed Kevin put him on his shoulders and they started running away. After the cops showed up and rescued them. Then that's how Max and Kevin became Freak The Mighty.
