Storyboard Text
- This is where I spent my childhood in Oklahoma
- I cannot stay here and work anymore
- We cleared miles of roads for the allies to pass through
- U.S. Joins WWII
- Enlist in the U.S. Army and fight for our freedom
- Today I joined the fight against the Germans
- I became part of the 29th Infantry
- We were headed to Saint-Lo in France to take it from the Germans
- Our division was tasked to take Omaha Beach
- Luckily I was in the later landing crafts
- Will I survive?
- I can't believe what I am seeing
- While I was ill my whole platoon was killed by the Germans
- How is nothing hitting me?
- Am I being protected by a guardian angel?
- After the war I learned to see the positive side of everything
- I will never forget that day ever
- I don't feel well
- Why was I left alive?
