  • PROLOGUE
  • The play opens with the introduction of Duke Theseus and his fiancée Hippolyta, along with two pairs of lovers: Hermia and Lysander, and Helena and Demetrius. Hermia's father insists she marry Demetrius, but she loves Lysander.

  • CONFLICT
  • Hermia and Lysander decide to elope to escape Hermia's father's wrath. They plan to meet in the forest outside Athens

  • RISING ACTION
  • Meanwhile, a group of fairies led by King Oberon and Queen Titania inhabit the same forest. Oberon and Titania are at odds over a young changeling boy. Oberon decides to play a trick on Titania using a magical flower that causes love at first sight.
  • Slide: 4
  • CLIMAX
  • Oberon instructs his mischievous servant, Puck, to use the flower's potion on various characters to create chaos. However, Puck mistakenly anoints the eyes of Lysander and Demetrius, causing both to fall in love with Helena.

  • FALLING ACTION
  • The four lovers become entangled in a web of mistaken identities and misdirected affections, leading to confusion and conflict. Eventually, Oberon intervenes to correct the situation, and the lovers are reunited with their rightful partners.
