Vast Traveler
In this quote Odysseus is telling the Cyclops that he is the son of Laertes. Who we can assume and infer was the king of Ithaca, and when he had died, then Odysseus was given the crown and had become the king of Ithaca. (Homer 227)
Unmatched warrior
In the cave we see that one of Odysseus' special traits is how cunning he can be. We see this when he tricks the cyclops into drinking all of the wine that he had, and getting really drunk. We also see this when he gets the idea to sharpen the stick and lighting it on fire, then using it to stab the cyclops in the eye with it, affectively blinding him. (Homer 223)

Odysseus fits this because of how when the cyclops traps Odysseus and his men. He fits this mainly because of how Odysseus and his men fight and end up effectively blinding the cyclops so that they could escape (Homer 223)
