The Philippines has struggled with poor transportation for a long time. People will get up at three in the morning simply to catch a bus or jeepney so they can arrive at work or school on time. I've been commuting for years, and when we didn't have a car, I would wait minutes or hours for a bus or jeepney ride. I no longer commute much. However, I can relate to the struggle of individuals who wait for hours in the rain or the heat.
