Ways Parents Can Share Their Voice
Parent Teacher Monthly Meet- For those parents who prefer to come into the classroom and meet with other parents and faculty socially to discuss their child's needs, I will offer a night once a month to have parents come in together to discuss their concerns, showcase their ideas, and be involved with the student's academic future and progress.
Blogs / Discords- Creating a discord will allow me to have an open communication with parents, where I can post upcoming announcements and events, additionally it being a space where parents can ask questions, and voice opinions. This is also where I can have private conferences via video, text, or audio chat.
Emails - Parents who prefer an email communication opposed to a blog forum, will be able to have a open line of communication where I will be able to provide all the resources as I would in a blog or website. This will include specific examples of their child's work including photos.
1-1 private Meetings- I will be sure to promptly meet with every parent who requests a private meeting to specifically discuss their child's needs in order to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. I will provide examples from the classroom to establish progress and areas of improvement. This can allow parents to tell me their concerns in a way more appropriate for them.
