- Banquo orders his son Fleance to escape before he is killed by the murderers sent by Macbeth.

- Macbeth visits the weird sisters again, they give him three more prophecies: He should fear Macduff, he cannot be harmed by anyone born of a woman, and he will not be defeated until Birnam Wood.

- Macbeth sends murderers to kill Macduff, when they don't find him, they kill his family.
- Hail, king! Because that’s what you are now. Look, here I have Macbeth’s cursed head. We are free from his tyranny. I see that you have the kingdom’s noblemen around you, and they’re thinking the same thing as me. I want them to join me in this loud cheer, Hail, King of Scotland!

- Macbeth receives news from Seyton that the Queen Lady Macbeth has died in bed.
- Macbeth moments away from fighting Macduff and dying, he is told by Macduff that he was cut out of his mother's womb, and Macbeth now knows that all the three prophecies told by the witches are true.
- Macduff shows Malcolm Macbeth's head, Macduff and everyone else with them hail Malcolm as the new King of Scotland. Malcolm names all the thanes and kinsmen the first earls of Scotland.
- It won’t be long before I reward each of you as he deserves. My thanes and kinsmen, I name you all earls, the first earls that Scotland has ever had. We have a lot to do at the dawn of this new era.
