  • Education in the Middle colonies was centered around religion instead of basic math, reading, etc.

  • Education in the Southern colonies was scarce but if your family was wealthy enough, you might have a tutor to educate your child at home.

  • What are you doing in your home on a Sunday morning!? You should be at chruch, I must arrest you both.
  • Education in the New Egland colonies was much like the Middle colonies where you were taught a lot about the bible and how to read and write but public school was a requirement.
  • You guys are to strict on religion here, we are leaving to find somewhere where our belifes will be respected!

  • The church was a huge part of the colonies founding nd a big part of their everyday life. You were expected to attend church every Sunday without fail.

  • Going to church every Sunday was a very big deal in the colonies and if you were caught skipping or not going, you could get arrested or have to pay a fine.

  • The people who lived in Massachusetts were fed up with the church in Massachusetts trying to dictate their religious beliefs so they left and founded Connecticut to have more freedom.
