  • Activity in Life and Works of Rizal by Group IV
  • In February 18, 1888, Rizal visited Macau on board Kiu-Kiang ship, together with Jose Ma. Basa. They stayed at Don Juan Lacaros' residence.

  • The people here are so polite and charming. There are also just a few beggars and thieves.
  • Rizal noticed the beauty and cleanliness of Japan. Politeness and simple charm of Japanese women. He was embarassed because he can't speak their language even though he looked like a Japanese.
  • But, what a shame. I can't speak their language.
