- The story starts off with two kids falling in love with each other Mr. Barnum and Charity but Charity parents are very strict and don't like Mr. Barnum. He makes her laugh but her father slaps him. He ran off to a small hill. Charity comes to Mr. Barnum out the window. She says she doesn't know what her future might be because her father is sending her to finishing school. But mr. barnum says "I do".

- Mr. Barnum is now an adult so he starts a business called Bailey Circus. He gathers people with unique features and starts a circus. It is going good because people are coming and are excited to see the show. But some people are concerned. 
- Falling ActionFrom Now On
- After the Bailey Circus he moved on to Jenny Lind because the Bailey Circus was going a bit bad. But soon it got better but some people still didn't enjoy nor liked the show. It made him feel like giving up on his circus dream. But the group was very happy so they wanted to join the party but Mr. Barnum closed the door on them. They all felt so betrayed but one of them stood up and wasn't going to allow someone to do that to them again.
- ResolutionThe Greatest Show
- Mr. Barnum had to leave his family to go to the next show with Jenny Lind. He didn't say goodbye to his family which made it worse. Their mother tried to support her kids and herself but it was difficult because she missed Mr. Barnum a lot. She imaged that they were dancing but that was just an a illusion.
- Mr. Barnum left Jenny Lind and went back to the circus but everyone was upset and he knew what he did was wrong and he needed to fix it. He put back the circus and went to see his family.
- Lastly mr. Barnum starts his show! everyone is happy and there are a lot of people coming. The show is going amazingly. but when Mr.Barnum is passing his hat he passes it to Phillip. Now Phillip is taking the show! Mr. Barnum goes to his family on an elephant.
