Growing up, reading always came somewhat easy to me and it allowed me to understand our books better and increase my reading level. i grew up under parents that wanted the best for me to excel in school who prioritized learning above most things.

writing wasn't always my strong suit, especially my handwriting my parents always wondered why i wrote like i was making broken cursive.
i learned to read and write at an early age as my parents made sure i was ahead so i could do well. reading always felt like I was into the page and imagining what was really happening for me which helped me memorize a lot of the times the gist of a story.

overtime as i got older school felt like a repeat of days that had already happened but even then i tried to do my best in school to make my parents happy. trying the best i can would lead me to get into Brooklyn college academy where i am today.
being in this school for three years has taught me a lot of new things especially in ways i can speak to sound argumentative and voice my opinions. seeing this helped change my sense of self in my everyday life as i felt more open to voice my thoughts
