Farol and Henry's Poseidon Story
Storyboard Text
- Poseidon, lord of the sea was a moody and violent god, known as the Earthshaker. The story began in the days of Cronus and the Titans,. This was the time when the sea was ruled by Nereus.
- Nereus was an old sea god with a long gray beard and a fishtail. He was the father of Amphitrite and the father of fifty nymphs. Later, Nereus gave Poseidon the sea to rule along with his daughe, Amphitrite.
- Poseidon and Amphitrite soon later had a son named Triton who also had a fishail as legs like Triton's grandfather Nereus. Nereus gave them his palace underwater where they lived peacefully as a new family.
- Zeus who was one of Poseidon's brothers had married the goddess Leto and he got Leto pregnat with twins. In a jelouse rage of Zeus and Leto's family success, Hera who was the wife and sister of Zeus told all of the lands of the world to not let Leto give birth on any land. All of the gods and goddesses felt bad for Leto for being abandon from the lands and offered a golden necklace for Hera to persway her to have Illithyia and Iris help Leto.
- Posiden heard about this and made an island called Delos in which Leto was welcomed on. This was where she decied to live and raise her twins with the other two goddesses. Leto's first child was Artemis, a girl as beautiful as the moon, with hair as dark as night. She was the goddess of the hunt. Zues gave her the arrows that were soft as moonbeams and brought painless deaths.
- Artemis's brother named Apollo was fair as the sun and was to be the god of music, light and reason. Zeus gave him hard and piercing arrows as the rays of the sun. Zeus blessed the island and Leto and her children lived there for a while deep down in the ocean with happiness.
