- Strong feelings of nationalism started to grow in indians after World war 1.
- will have to do something... our rule is weakening
- hmm, Lets enforce a new law.
- We wont stop! We need Freedom!
- Britishers enforced a new law rawlatt act in which no indian was allowed to protest or else they would be put in jail.
- As the British Government did not show any interest in providing meaningful political concessions to Indians, Gandhiji decided to start the Civil Disobedience Movement.
- Gandhi Started boycotting British Rule by refusing to buy their goods and refusing to vote.This launched his campaign of civil disobedience.
- We need change in India! I will lead the way.
- We want freedom and that's why we will support you!!
- Lets make our own salt by collecting seawater and letting the water evaporate.
- As per the law of british indians could buy salt from the government only.Gandhi and others walked 386km to protest.This was called the Salt march
- Hooray!!
- Finally in 1935 India gained self-rule even if it was limited.
