Piper came up with a plan set the building on fire so police would come and they could be set free.
Piper, Evan, Theo, Lucie, Hazel, and Priya managed to escape the building but they only got to run so far before Caleb, Owen, and Matt caught up to them.
Evan ends up being one them and has been playing Piper and the others all along. Even though Piper is heartbroken, she has to forget all they've been through and focus on escaping his forest.
