Direct quote:"All right, she told herself. So I’ve killed him"
Good night, Ms maloney
Mary Maloney is six months pregnant and is awaiting her husband Patrick to arrive home from work. She spends her time waiting by knitting. Patrick is a policeman, and he arrives home at 5 pm each day
Thank you sam
Patrick arrives home, and Mary is worked up to work out him. She makes him a drink, and he or she asks him about dinner. Patrick announces that he has something to mention to Mary.
Why don't you eat up that lamb that's in the oven.
Mary's reaction is one in all shock. She travels all the way down to the basement to urge dinner, a leg of lamb. Upon her return, her reaction to the announcement is to hit her husband over the pinnacle with a frozen leg of lamb, thus killing him.
Mary, so as to hide her tracks, goes to the local grocer to buy food for the dinner she was making for her husband. Before she leaves, though, she rehearses her speech. Sam the grocery store doesn't notice anything strange.
Her attempt to leave the house provides the proper alibi for somebody to come back into the house and kill her husband. She calls the police and tells them her story. They trip the grocery store to verify her story.
Mary asks the police to eat the lamb. The police, unbeknownst to them, find yourself eating the murder weapon. Mary gets away with the murder of her husband.
Probably right under our very noses. What you think, Jack?
