- Camino lives with her aunt in the Dominican Republic. Caminos dad is leaving for a business trip in New York. Camino tries to convince her dad to take her with him and he says no every time.
- Caminos aunt goes to Caminos school and picks her up. She tells her that her there has been a plane crash. And there are no survivors.
- El cero is fallowing Camino every where she goes. Caminos dad pays El Cero to watch Camino. El cero is a weird disturbing person. He has changed ever since his sister died.
- Yahaira lives in New York with her mom and dad. And her dad was leaving to go on a trip. But the plane he was flying on crashed. Yahaira and her mom are finding out the news and that there are no survivors from the crash.
- Yahaira tells her mom about Dre and how they are more then friends. Yahairas mom understands and tells them a story about an interviewer.
- Yahaira explains what chess means to her. And what the prices represent. Her and her dad would always play chess together. So it’s a memory of her dad.
