Eric and Cindy have been friend for a very long time and are both the same age. they are interested in the same thing and have common traits. but Eric's family isn't as wealthy as Cindys family.
Cindy goes to the private school in city and is top of her class in almost all categories
While Eric goes to one of the many public schools in the city. he hastrouble is school and is failing many of his classes
the top 25 school districts spent $1,500 more per student than the lowest 25
this happens to be an issue among many other Americans. we live in a time where welt division has affected our society.
in 2015 the Obama administration reviewed federal education department and issued that the gap between rich and poor school grew 44%
Cindy and her classmates all have the newest MacBook provided by the school. as well as some of the best sources for information. like library and computer labs. that all benifit her education.
Eric and his classmates do not have the benefit of Cindys school due to the gap in wealth and funding. Eric must rely on himself to find extra forms of education that Cindys school whole have provided
in an article written by Linda Darling-Hammond about education inequality she says "In an analyst of 900 Texas school districts, found that teacher experience was the single most important determination of student success"
not only is it resources but also the teachers themselves!
teacher participation makes a huge difference.
but the fact is bad teaching is failing these student and it isn't the only factor but it is one of them.
so when new educators come out of collage looking for jobs they go to the best paying and those are the wealthy private schools.
those schools Only want the brightest and best leaving the rest to find other school districts that don't pay enough to provide for a family.
that only leads to bad educating by teachers as it is not worth the amount they are being payed. and I'm not saying every teacher is like that. their are many people who do this job genially on the fact that they love it.
Cindys teacher can focus time outside of class for her students. making them her full priority.
while Erics teacher can't make time outside of school for him. histecaher has a second job and has a kid of his own that needs to be feed and taken care off before he goes to that job
I hope that student speak out more about this issue as they are the one who are truly being affected by this issue
I believe that this is truly a scary issue as I believe that an educated population is very important to a thriving society.
with wealth inequality, an issue of its own higher than it has ever been I believe it have affected many aspects outside of it. only leading to a wider division
maybe in the future we can have a country free of education inequality leaving no Child behind in learning
