  • The Atomic Theory Comic Strip "How It All Began"
  • The Atomic Theory Comic Strip"How it all Began"
  • Democritus (Ancient Greece, Abdera)
  • I cut a piece of cheese until it could not be cut anymore and now it is an atomos!
  • John Dalton (United Kingdom, Manchester)
  • I made the first atomic theory.
  • Made by Enzo Hwang-Akaike 9-4
  • Michael Faraday (United Kingdom, London)
  • At about 100 B.C. Democritus proposed that all matter is composed of tiny and uncuttable/hard particles called "atomos" which are now called atoms.
  • JJ Thomson (United Kingdom, Cambridge)
  • In the year, 1808, John Dalton created the first atomic theory. His theory was that matter was made of atoms that are indestructible and invisible.
  • Ernest Rutherford (New Zealand)
  • In the 1830's, Michael Faraday, a British physicist, made one of the most significant discoveries that led to the idea that atoms had an electrical component.
  • I predict that all atoms have electrical components
  • In the year 1897, JJ Thomson found out that there are negatively charged particles in the atom. Thompson named these negatively charged particles corpuscles , but scientists later changed it into what we know now as electrons.
  • I made a model of the atom and called it the "Plum Pudding." The negative electrons are the raisins and the dough is the positive charge.
  • In the year 1910, Ernest Rutherford The Nucleus and the protons inside the Nucleus though a gold foil experiment . In 1911, he also proved Thomson's Plum Pudding wrong. Rutherford cocluded that the atom consisted of a small, dense, positively charged nucleus in the centre of the atom with negatively charged electrons surrounding it.
  • All atoms have a nucleus and the nucleus is positively charged .
