- Macbeth is convinced and kills King Duncan himself He has an unexpected visitor and blames the servants for murdering the King
- Guards! The servants have murdered the King!

- Macbeth's guilt is eating him alive for hiring assassins to kill BanquoHe sees Banquo's ghost at dinner and the realization starts to set in
