- It originated from Samaveda, which is an ancient Vedic Sanskrit text that is part of the scriptures of Hinduism. Dhrupad's were sung in temples and, from early temple chants. Later evolved into a sophisticated classical form of India.
- They use music as a symbol of joy. When the groom arrived at the bride's home, there will be a boisterous and brassy band. Some choose to have a live bhangra band or a professional DJ to play their favorite wedding songs and hits from Bollywood.
- The crops such as dates, grape, figs, and onion are the most important fruits and vegetable crops. Around fall time, it's when they start singing their song to the Gods.
- For centuries, magicians, storytellers, and snake charmers have been traveling to country areas to tell the story about their Gods. They lived on the amount of money they make from the show.
- The Nepalese version of the violin is endeared in the music of Nepal. It is known as saran or sarangi, it's a short-necked violin that is around 30 inches long. The violin is roughly rectangular with a slightly broad body. It uses three melody strings that are made out of guts. The musicians usually play it out on the streets and they don't make much.
- Music did not only bring South Asia together but throughout the whole world. It has connected religions, cultures, languages, and nations. World music came from rituals, labor, and life cycles that Native American musicians practice in South Asia. Music has a diverse cultures which became folk, pop, and classical music as we know now-a-days.
