- We are from Troy, Achaeans, blown off course by the great south sea.
- Odysseus and his men Journey on to an Island where they find a cyclops and get stuck in his cave with no way out besides moving a giant boulder the cyclops has put at the entrance to act as a door.
- Strangers who are you? Where from?
- Cyclops here's some liquor to wash down your scraps of men.
- Odysseus Gives the cyclops very fine wine, made for the gods in efforts to get the cyclops drunk and very sleepy so that Odysseus and his men can later stab the cyclops in his sleep.
- My name is Nohbdy: mother, father, and friends everyone calls me Nohbdy
- Give me another, thank you kindly. Tell me how are you called?
- Odysseus and his men made a big wooden spear while the cyclops was sleeping and stabbed him right in the eye so that he would still be alive and be forced to move the giant boulder blocking Odysseus's escape. Also, Odysseus Telling the cyclops his name of Nohbdy made the other cyclops think there was no harm, this shows that Odysseus is very smart.
- Cyclops if ever man inquire how you were put to shame and blinded, tell him Odysseus, raider of cities, took your eye.
- Nohbdy, Nohbdy's tricked me, Nohbdy's ruined me!
