Macbeth asking murderers to kill BanquoThis scene is very important in showing Macbeth's change in attitude. After Macbeth reveals that Banquo needs to be killed, it is clear that he is no longer the person he used to be. He has become a power-obsessed murderer that is willing to kill his best friend in order to keep his power
Banquo's death and Fleance's escapeThis scene is important to the story because it is the death of an important character. Though Banquo dies, he tells his son to run away and eventually he can get revenge. This could be a form of foreshadowing what Fleance does in the future as well as Macbeth's end.
"Get out of here good Fleance, run run run! Someday you can get revenge!"
The BanquetThis scene signifigantly shows the effect Macbeth's actions have had on his mental state. Killing Banquo has only increased the amount of guilt he is feeling. This scene shows how paranoid and fearful Macbeth has become, which is now seen outside of his thoughts and around other people.
