- I Oedipus shall answer your prayers and find the solution to the plague ailing Thebes. In fact I have already sent Creon to the oracle to find a solution
- I have received an answer from the oracle! The killer of king Laius must be brought to justice to stop the plague.
- How could someone perform such a heinous crime I curse whoever brought this plague upon Thebes. I will call for the prophet Tiresias so we can solve this murder

- Calm down Oedipus prophecies are not always true, It was prophecies that Laius would be killed by his son I would be in sinful union with him but that was prevented from happening.
- He was attacked by robbers in a place where three roads even though he was attended by five man. There was one witness who is now a shepherd.

- How did king Laius die?
- I may have been there and unwittingly killed king Laius
