- Boston massacre
- The first permanent British colony in America was Jamestown. King George was not strict at this time, so the colonists were not concerned about their freedom.
- Boston tea party
- When the stamp act was passed, the American activists sparing into action. The taxes were to help pay for the war, however, the colonists felt the troops were only there to watch them. Therefore they didn't want to pay their taxes.
- Quartering Acts
- I'm staying here! and there's nothing you can do to stop me.
- boston massacre occurred when colonists and British troops fought. the colonists were outnumbered and many died. it was known as the shot fired around the world because no one knows who fired first.
- Declaration of Independence signing
- Colonials snuck onto British ships dressed as Native Americans. They threw hundreds of boxes of tea into Boston Harbor. In protest of the tea act, they did this.
- the quartering act was when soldiers were allowed to stay in peoples houses without permission.
- independence from Britain was declared on July 4th 1776 by colonial leaders.
