Storyboard Text

  • I'm Grace. Currently giving birth to a child whose father didn't even say goodbye yet, lovely Peach who deserves so much more. Shortly after I gave birth to her, I had to give her up to which I found out something very interesting. I had two other half-siblings.
  • And for whatever reason, Max was the prom king not even here to see his daughter come to this world.
  • *giving birth*
  • Maya. And turns out I have a half-sister named Grace. Been adopted since my life began and my family with my mom and sister, Lauryn. While I'll always be stuck playing this game of who's the odd one out here, I'll be glad to know that Claire is there for me to make those feelings disappear, just for a second before I can stand on my own again.
  • It's hard to explain, the shades of purple you might feel when you see yet another wine bottle empty.
  • Never having been adopted, it feels a little bit weird to get an email from your other adopted half-sisters who you're only hearing about now. But it's been so good with Birdie, she feels like home I wouldn't mind ever leaving, but when I see her photos, the photos of the past. I can't help but think over the two of us if maybe it's been too good for someone like me.
  • After Peach, there was nothing but returning to the harsh and cruel world of high school, except this time I'm not pregnant. And this time, since Max, I have Raf, cool dude that man.
  • Breaking up with Claire should've been enough circumstances given to me that day, but coming home to Mom, bloodied and unconscious, proved that so so wrong. Guess no one can ever catch a break out here.
  • Birdie was the best part of my life, and because of that, she deserves more than I can hope that me, Joaquin can give her. Anyone deserves more than what I could give them, Mark and Linda too.
