Romeo confesses his love for Juliet to Friar Lawrence. Friar Lawrence is shocked with the sudden shift from Rosaline to Juliet, however, agrees to marry them with hopes that it will end the ongoing feud between their parents.
Act 2 Scene 2
Romeo asks the nurse to inform Juliet to meet Romeo and Friar Lawrence's cell where they will get married. The nurse agrees to deliver the message and offers to place a ladder so Romeo can ascend to Juliet's room on their wedding night.
Act 2 Scene 3
The nurse returns to Juliet, however, is too tired, sore and out of breath to inform Juliet of what had happened. Finally, the nurse gives in and informs Juliet that Romeo is waiting at Friar Lawrence's cell for them to get married.

Romeo and Friar Lawrence wait eagerly for Juliet to arrive. After her arrival, Romeo and Juliet propose their love for each other once more, and are wed by Friar Lawrence.
On the streets of Verona, Tybalt approaches Romeo, Mercutio and Benvolio. Tybalt challenges Romeo to a fight, however he declines because Tybalt and Romeo are close now as they are cousins. Mercutio on the other hand draws his sword and fights Tybalt. In efforts to break up the fight, Romeo interferes but Tybalt's sword is in Mercutio. Mercutio dies. Tybalt, still fuming fights Romeo and dies.
Act 3 Scene 1
In the Capulet's house, the nurse rushes to Juliet to inform her about the news about the fight. At first, Juliet believes both Romeo and Tybalt are dead, however later realises that Romeo killed Tybalt and is now banished from Verona.
