Joe just came back from school ready to play with his cat. That was when he noticed his cat was stuck. oe just came back from Geometry class so he knew what to do.
The runaway catby:Asher Urban
Joe already knows that he is standing 10 feet away from the tree. He then figures out that he is looking at the tree at an angle of 75 degrees. He wants to know how far up his cat is. He knows that the angle is opposite of the tree which is x, and his distance(10ft) is adjacent. So he knows that it is TOA which means the equation is tan75 x 10. His cat is 37.3 ft up on the tree.
but right as Joe figured out the plan the cat jumped from the tree to the roof. Joe made another equation. He knew he was now 5 ft away from the roof and knew he was standing at a 64 degree angle, but still had to figure out how far up the cat is. He found out that tan64x5= how high the cat was. His answer was 11.7

But yet again the cat ran away and jumped up to the trees to the treehouse that was not finished. Joe knew what he had to do again. He knew that he was 30 feet away, and knew that the cat was 40 feet away from him but he didn't know the angle. He makes an equation which is tan-1(40/30)= the angle. The angle is 53.1 degrees.
Joe rescues his cat and they live happily ever after! The end
