  • This symbol popped up in the first scene at the very begging of the play. The food is meant to represent how some of the characters look for the necessary things in life while some of them look for more of the wants and money. Surrounding emotions include frustration, impatience, and anger. I don't think the characters understand the greater meaning I think they are just going about their lives thinking what they want to.
  • EAT YOUR DAMN EGGS WALTER!!!!!!
  • EGGS
  • I don't want to :(
  • This symbol appeared towards the end of scene one and at the start of two. Again, this represents how some characters care more about money and fancy things than the necessities and what they have. Surrounding emotions are frustration, confusion, and anger. The characters somewhat understand it, they are able to understand that some of them think of money differently.
  • MONEY IS LIFE!!!!
  • Boy get your priorities stright.
  • This symbol appears all throughout the play starting in act one. The plant is significant because it represents the family by how they thrive in the apartment they are in now and how they would be better off in a house. There are many emotions around it like excitement, nervousness, worry, dread, and so much more. Mama can kinda understand the greater meaning because she knows the plant needs a garden and talks about how the family needs more space for the family to grow and thrive.
