  • EPILEPSY
  • Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that causes seizures in the brain. This can be caused randomly or by natural substances. Symptoms include loss of awareness, uncontrollable staring, finicky movements of arms and legs, anxiety, confusion, stiffness in the muscles, and unconsciousness.
  • Around this time while suffering from epilepsy, patients should see a doctor when they inflict another seizure, diabetes, pregnancy, or a fever. They also should do this if their ability to breathe or gain consciousness does not return, their seizures last for at least five minutes, or attempt to injure themselves.
  • Epilepsy can be diagnosed by reviewing the symptoms and medical history. Patients can take several of the following tests: neurological exams, blood tests, and genetic tests. It can also be treated by taking prescribed medicines, surgeries, brain-stimulating therapies, and a ketogenic diet.
  • Many departments and hospitals have treated patients with epilepsy over the years. Most hospitals treat this condition in Arizona, Florida, and Minnesota. Some departments that treat this disorder include children's centers, neurology centers, neurosurgery departments, etc.
