- Today we will talk about a benefit of technology. How has technologyhelped us?
- That is so cool, would you mind explaining the class how it works?
- My sister uses an AAC device which helps her communicate with everyone even though she can't speak properly.
- Although there are many applications that can be used to help, she uses an app which has a lot of words with its pictures. She is able to tap on it and the app helps her create those into sentences.
- Oh wow, but how can she remember all the words?
- Yes! Although this may not help everyone, it is important that people get the right tools to help them so they can benefit in great ways from it. Technology is very helpful in different ways to everyone.
- The words are split into categories which helps her choose. Also, just like other kids that may not be able to speak, she knows a lot, she just is sometimes unable to express it.
- So that technology is perfect for her. She can express herself with this.
