- Hitler and Nazi-Germany violates the Treaty of Versailles and builds a mighty army that may become a world power.
- Nazi-Soviet Nonaggression Pact signed
- LET US SIGN THIS PACT FOR THE WELL-BEING OF BOTH OF OUR NATIONS.
- Hitler sends his troops to occupy Rhineland believing that the move was a defensive strategy.
- September 1, 1939: Germany invades Poland
- Nazi-Germany believed Austria was falling into chaos and invaded/annexed it to "restore order".
