  • Emma Watson is a famous actress who starred in the Harry Potter saga. From an early age, she paid particular attention to the presence and representation of women, especially in the workplace, during her filming. As she said : " It's quite curious when I take a look at my life: there were about one-third girls to two-thirds boys in my primary school. So, I started mylife with this ratio. I have two brothers. And when I did Harry Potter, the ratio was similar, at most one-third women and two-thirds men on set" . And that's how she forged a feminist soul for herself.

  • At a UN ceremony, Emma Watson wanted to give her definition of feminism: " Feminism, by definition, is the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. This is the theory of political, economic and social equality of the sexes."

  • A few time after reading The Handmaid's Tale, she decided to interview Margaret Atwood. she asks her where this inspiration came from. Margaret answered her :" I would put nothing into it that had not been done at some time or in some place ".This interview greatly inspired Emma in her fight for feminism.
  • Emma Watson is one of the first donors to the UK Justice and Equality Fund, which has launched a crowdfunding campaign to pay for a newadvice network. What to expect at the 2018 Bafta AwardsThe fund has been set up by the women who have signed the letter, along with agroup of 160 people - including academics, activists and charity workers - to help victims "access support and justice".

  • Emma Watson has a lot of influence and is thanked for her investment in women. She is known to be an icon of feminism and an example, which she shows a lot on the social networks. Her actions that can help people and especially women, gives her great pride and gives her the desire to act more.
