  • Most people would say that before the Neolithic Revolution life wasn't very sophisticated. Because they weren't able to grow their own food , people had to rely on hunting and gathering. Also, people lived in small, nomadic groups instead of large villages/communities.
  • Some of the animals that were domesticated during the Neolithic Revolution were sheep, goats, and cattle for meat. 
  • The word neolithic translates to new stone age. Neo means new and lithic means stone.
  • Neo = NewLithic = Stone=NEOLITHIC
  • Women don't work, Mary!
  • Although there was a tremendous food surplus and communities became much more sophisticated after the Neolithic Revolution, that came with side effects like, inequality, new diseases, unhealthy lifestyles, and deforestation.
  • Most early people began to settle down in countries like Turkey and Israel when the Neolithic Revolution happened 12,000 years ago just after the last ice age.
