- Aeneas was a brave soldier from Troy. A beauty contest was held there and when Paris (the king's second son) had to decide which female gods was the most beautiful. When he chose Venus, the king's daughter, this upset her mother who called for the destruction of Troy.
- With Juno's help the Greeks attack and begin to destroying Troy, until Aeneas receives a message from Venus to flee with his family and build a new civilisation. His wife gets lost and dies.
- For many years, Aeneas and his men sail in search of new land but are unsuccessful, due to monstrous creatures or Greek soldiers.
- They finally arrive at Carthage where Aeneas meets the Queen Dido, who falls in love with him. The messenger God Mercury reminds him of the aim of his mission (to find new land) and when Aeneas tells this to Dido, she swears 'eternal war' on him and kills herself.
- Aeneas and his men arrive in Sicily where they're welcomed by the king. Juno (Venus' mother) persuades local women to burn their ships and force Aeneas to leave again.
- They arrived in Cumae, Italy where Aeneas met an oracle, Sybil, who tells him he can visit his dead father in the underworld and bring back a great treasure. They enter a cave where they encounter many monsters, including the Cerberus.
