- Well the internet is just a vast computer network linking smaller computer networks worldwide. A lot of people use the world wide web which is the information found on the internet. People use web browsers to help find the information stored in the world wide web.
- So how does it work?
- That's not all. The web browsers work by using the search engine which is a specialized websites that help you find the billions of websites there are to find what you need. Now when you search something in the browser the search engine gives search results which are results based on what you types in the browser and how specific it was. If you ever forget what you were looking for, you can find it in your browsing history that will show you everything you have looked up.
- Oh wow.
- Now after you look up whatever it is you need, you will find websites. Websites are a bunch of well put together webpages to provide information. A webpage is an html document with its own address on the internet. HTML is just the language used to set up these webpages. Some webpages might contain web links, which are text or images on a webpage where users can click to travel to another web destination. The mouse pointer turns into a hand when you hover over a link.
- Wow, kind of makes sense to why people are on it so much, it's like the world in your hands. Wonder if they have websites for dogs?
