Mrs.Mallard was afflicted with a heart trouble.Louise Mallard is told by her sister and husbands friend that her husband has died in an accident as gently as they could and dropped hints. Louise was overcome with great grief after hearing the news. She decided to leave the room.
She left to her room andsank intoa comfortable, roomy armchair and started contemplating. She could see in the open square before her house the tops of trees that were all aquiver with the new spring life. She continued to sob and was consumed by heavy train of thought.
Alittle whispered word escaped her slightly parted lips. She said it over and over under her breath: "free, free, free!"There would be no one to live for during those coming years; she would live for herself. She was drinking in a very elixir of life through that open window.
Her sister Josephine was begging Louise to open the door before she makes herself ill. She clasped her sister's waist, and together they descended the stairs. She felt the sense of liberation with every step. Little did she know what would happen next.
Some one was opening the front door with a latchkey. It was Brently Mallard who entered, a little travel-stained, composedly carrying his grip-sack and umbrella. He had been far from the scene of the accident. Louise died of heart disease after seeing Brently Mallard.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
"Louise, open the door! I beg; open the door--you will make yourself ill. What are you doing, Louise? For heaven's sake open the door."
"something may or may not have happened to Brently."
"I can finally live!!!"
"Louise I'm so sorry."
"Oh god, Louise please get up! Please"
"Things will be alright Lou. I love you."
"I love you too Josephine. Thank you."
