- Greetings traveler, I am Socrates the great philosopher. (470-399 BCE) I am best known for being the father of Western Philosophy and thought. My students Plato is also a famous philopsopher. Here in Greece, we have a democracy, where all male citizens can vote. Us philosophers used logic to make sense of the world instead of religion.
- What is this place and who are you? I'm a traveler passing through. Can you tell me about this place and yourself?
- This is the Enlightenment Period (1685-1815). The enlightenment was an intellectual movemont that endorsed democracy and free thinking.
- Where am I now?
- The Industrial Revolution (1760-1840) was when the manufacturing of goods become mechanized instead of all having to be made by hands, and many factories were built to do so. The revolution started in Britain because of an abundance of resources.
- The Cold War (1947-1991) was a period of tension between the western and eastern powers. The main two players were the USA and the USSR. The main events that Occured were the Space race, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the Vietnam War
- World War 2 (September 1, 1939 – September 2, 1945) was a global conflict between the Allies and the Axis powers. The war began when Hitler's Nazi Germany attacked Poland unprovoked. It is estimated that over 80 Million people lost their lives. The Allies were victorious when the Soviets and Americans captured Berlin
- The French Revolution (Jul 14, 1789 – Nov 9, 1799) was when the people of France took control away from the monarchs. It was mainly caused my immensese poverty, because France had funded the US in the Revolutionary War. It eventually led to the rise of Napoleon, who established the French Empire
